Enjoy a railway exhibition with the Chorley & District Model Railway Club and build some models! All materials supplied, and refreshments available.

Plant Sale & Spring Fayre

Browse an abundance of plants for sale, with the church open for refreshments from 8:30am, ahead of the spring fayre at 1pm. Delicious strawberry teas are available, along with a range of stalls from tombolas to bric-a-brac. Everyone welcome.

Picnic in the Park

Brass on the Grass

A wonderful outdoor concert featuring the Red Admiral Youth Band, in the beautiful setting of Mawdesley Millennium Green. Tickets £6 for adults or £4 for children, with under-5s going free.

Cemetery Heritage Tour

The Friends of St. Helens Cemetery host a heritage walking tour – visit the graves of notable people including local sportsmen, military heroes and industrialists. £2 per walker, meet in the car park.

Picnic in the Park

Bring a picnic to Astley Hall for an afternoon of free fun and entertainment! Enjoy children’s activities, sports, crafts, a climbing wall and much more, with fairground rides and a bouncy castle.

Charity Quiz Night

Raise money for World Animal Protection and test your knowledge at a fun quiz with fabulous prizes! There’ll be a buffet included and a licensed bar, as well as a raffle and cake sale. Tickets £4 in advance from Gilmore Vets or £5 on the door – call 01257 426110 for info.

Butterfly Survey

The Ranger service lead you around the park, showing you how to identify and record species of butterfly. You’ll learn about migration patterns, life cycles and conservation. For more info, call 01744 678073.

‘The Curry Guy’ Cooking Demonstration

‘The Curry Guy’ Dan Toombs presents a mouth-watering cooking demonstration of a vegetarian take on classic Indian dishes. He’ll also be signing copies of his latest cookbook. Tickets £16 including tasters and Dan’s book, available from Ebb & Flo Bookshop or on Eventbrite.

Veterans Afternoon Tea
