St Mary’s Rufford Church in its current form opened its doors on 11 January 1860. On Saturday 11 January 2020 there is a special Songs of Praise service being held in church to celebrate the church’s 150th anniversary, with special guests including Bishop Philip, Bishop of Blackburn, the Mayor of West Lancashire and local organisations.

The service is free to attend. Church opens 5pm, service commences at 6pm with refreshments following at 7pm.
