DESCRIPTION:Our thoughts are drawn to the men and women who made the ultimate sacrifice so Wigan Rotary Club are to remember them in a more public way. If you want to remember someone come to the Grand Arcade on the weekend 2nd and 3rd November and write their story on an A4 sized poppy which will be displayed in the Wigan Town Centre for the week up to Remembrance Sunday for all to see and read. Or go to the Veterans Centre during the week before.

SUMMARY:Wigan Canal History Walk
DESCRIPTION:Join us for a free guided walk along the beautiful Wigan Flight! \nStarting at Wigan Dry Dock\, with free parking available at Trencherfield Mill (by the big industrial fan)\, we’ll walk up to Top Lock led by two knowledgeable lock keepers\, and then return to our starting point. \nIt’ll be a leisurely walk of 4 miles in total\, and you’re advised to bring waterproofs in case of rain\, a drink\, and a packed lunch if you like. Dogs on a lead are welcome.
