Who we are

Chris Pearce has worked in media and publishing for several decades. Formerly a senior manager at Champion Newspapers and a qualified CIM marketer, Chris successfully launched Local Life in 2008. He is the MD of the company and looks after the sales and marketing functions. Lives in Orrell with his wife Sally and their two kids.

Sally Boon has been involved with Local Life since the early days of the magazine. She formerly worked in the telecoms industry and is now Company Secretary at Local Life. Sally manages the administration at Local Life, and also oversees the distribution operation. Sally lives in Orrell with her husband Chris and their two children.

Nicola Gray recently joined Local Life from the Wigan Courier, where she worked as a Sales Executive. Nicola’s a qualified journalist and will be working on sales and editorial features at Local Life. Born and bred in Appley Bridge, Nicola now lives in Standish with her husband, Ben.

D J Rourke has worked on the design and production of Local Life on a freelance basis since its inception and has played a major role in their success. Owner of Standish based WN6 Creative Services (www.wn6.co.uk), and has worked for some of the biggest names in media and television over the past 20 years.

Jack Butlin was found abandoned as a pup in Jacksmere Lane in Scarisbrick, and was adopted from a rescue centre in Ormskirk. Now lives in Billinge with his foster carers and works as walks supervisor for Local Life, taking an active interest in debt control when we allow him to!
